Call open for expressions of interest
Deadline for submissions: 20 April 2026
Introduction

Thanks to the generous support of Trailfinders, we're offering a unique opportunity to fund an outstanding clinical leader in the field of prostate cancer medical oncology.
We're seeking proposals from ambitious individuals aiming to become a sector-leading Trailfinders Prostate Cancer UK Professor in Prostate Cancer.
This prestigious fellowship will provide £2 million over 5 years to an outstanding clinically qualified researcher specialising in medical oncology.
Candidates must have a PhD and post-doctoral experience and be looking to transition to research leadership and onto a Professorial position within the 5-year window of fellowship support.
This fellowship should be underpinned by an ambitious and internationally competitive programme of research, aligned with our research strategy, delivering high quality, high impact outputs which will allow the recipient to transition into research leadership and ultimately deliver life-changing breakthroughs for prostate cancer patients.
Our expectation is that the employing institution, together with its clinical/academic partner, will also contribute significant support and financial commitment towards the recipient to further underpin the research proposal.
The intention is to appoint an individual who is on the trajectory to become a future leading international figure in medical oncology, and will be a driving force for clinical academic research for years to come.
