What was the event about?

This innovation event brought together experts on active surveillance as well as men who have experience of being on active surveillance. Attendees had the chance to ask questions, chat to peers, and hear about the exciting changes happening in the field of active surveillance.

Agenda

We were joined by the following speakers:

Caroline Moore

Caroline Moore is a Professor of Urology – and the first woman to be made professor of urology in the UK – at University College London.  She specialises in MRI for prostate cancer diagnosis, surveillance and treatment.

Caroline discussed UCLH’s approach to active surveillance as well as findings from the Movember active surveillance research priorities paper.

Patient voices

We were joined by two men who shared their experiences of active surveillance.

Vincent Gnanapragasam

Vincent Gnanapragasam is a Professor of Urology at the University of Cambridge and an honorary consultant urologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. Vincent’s work integrates research into clinical practice and is based on the diagnosis and management of early prostate cancer.
