Research Impact, Support and Engagement (RISE) scheme
Open access fees, conference support, and dissemination of clinical trial results.
Research Impact, Support and Engagement (RISE) scheme
The RISE scheme helps Prostate Cancer UK-funded researchers maximise the reach and impact of their work through publications, conferences and participant engagement, supporting research to RISE from discovery to impact.
Open Access Publishing
We support open access publication so that findings from the research we fund are freely available to our supporters and the global research community. Open access helps ensure new knowledge can be shared widely, built upon and ultimately translated into better outcomes for men affected by prostate cancer and their families.
We strongly recommend that the findings of the research we fund are published open access and we will reimburse open access fees to enable this.
Conference Support
We support Early Career Researchers to present their Prostate Cancer UK-funded research at strategically important conferences and specialist meetings. Increasing the visibility of the research and the profile of the researchers to stimulate discussion, feedback, collaboration, networking and career development opportunities.
Sharing Clinical Trial Results with Men
Research participants deserve to hear the results of the studies they take part in. Sharing results shows respect for their contribution, builds trust in research, and helps them feel valued.
With the NHS Health Research Authority (HRA) now expecting research findings to be shared with participants, you'll soon be able to apply for help to adhere to best practice, including review of materials and financial support.
Keep an eye out for more details, coming soon!
