What does the programme involve?

We’ve partnered with Living Potential, an innovative leadership development organisation to support us deliver our sector-leading Clinical Champions Programme. Our programme will support and inspire you to drive meaningful improvements for people living with or at risk of prostate cancer.

As part of the programme you will receive:

  • Training on change leadership, system leadership, improvement science and implementing an improvement project.

  • Virtual improvement group meetings that allow time to connect with peers.

  • Individual support around your improvement ambitions and leadership development.

  • Opportunities to meet and network with inspiring leaders.

Being the only nurse on the cohort was a daunting thought but going ahead was the best thing I’ve done. The programme has been an enlightening experience in terms of recognising your value and what leadership skills you already have and reflecting on and developing those.

Who is the programme for?

We know all roles across the prostate cancer pathway are critical to transforming care, that’s why we actively recruit a multi-disciplinary group to this programme. The programme is open to passionate and inspiring professionals who are driven to improve prostate cancer care.

We encourage applications from all those working with men with prostate cancer, including those who might not traditionally be viewed as part of the core MDT such as nurses, primary care professionals and AHPs.

If you’re a Black Healthcare professional, we’d love to receive an application from you!

We believe in the power of diversity to transform healthcare. We’re inviting Black healthcare professionals to join our programme to grow, connect, and lead positive change in prostate cancer and men’s health. Join a supportive community committed to equality, inclusion, and improving outcomes for under-represented communities.

Joining the programme was a real turning point for me as a Black healthcare professional. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to lead with clarity identifying the right people to drive change and keeping everyone focused on what really mattered. Beyond the project, the experience opened doors I never expected. I connected with inspiring peers and built lasting partnerships, including continued work with a Prostate Cancer Uk where I now serve on the Clinical Advisory Group. The title of Clinical Champion hasn’t just boosted my credibility it’s amplified my voice, my impact, and my commitment to improving health outcomes in our communities. It’s been powerful, purposeful, and transformative.
