Real-World Evidence: Family History of Prostate Cancer Data Study Award
Commissioned call - coming soon
Prostate Cancer UK will launch an open, competitive commissioned Family History Data Study in late November 2026 as part of our Family History Evidence Programme. We are seeking proposals that can address important gaps in the evidence within the next three years.
We particularly welcome collaborative, multi-institutional approaches that use existing UK wide population-level data across multiple datasets to investigate:
differences in outcomes according to the type of familial risk; and
the extent to which having a first-degree relative with prostate cancer increases the risk of aggressive prostate cancer and prostate cancer-specific mortality.
The findings will inform our public health information for men with a family history of prostate cancer and their clinicians by providing clearer evidence as to whether the risk in men with family history of prostate cancer is significantly higher than that of the general population.
