Short Programmes

Our free programmes are aimed at all health professionals working in prostate cancer care.

What is a short programme?

Our short programmes are aimed at clinicians working across the UK who want to drive shorter (20 week) change improvement projects in their organisation. Throughout these 20 weeks, you'll be taught how to implement change during challenging professional surroundings, how to collaborate effectively with your colleagues and how to make your changes sustainable.

After delivering successful programmes looking at purely at leadership and change management, we've begun to identify and support specific areas of the pathway through targeted improvement programmes such active surveillance protocols, sexual wellbeing and end of life care.

You'll attend an evening welcome event (7-9pm), two virtual modules (9am-12pm) and two modules at one residential stay (day 1 module 2, overnight stay, day 2 module 3) over the course of a short programme, completing a short survey about your project and your experience.

Our programmes are aimed at any health professional working along the prostate cancer pathway. No leadership experience is necessary!

Our 2025 courses

In 2025, we ran two short programmes. These programmes were attended by clinicians from across the UK and have directly impacted 3,500 men, whilst creating driven leaders in prostate cancer care.

Faster Diagnosis Standards

  • Focus on diagnostic pathways
  • Included a workshop with HCPs who have successfully implemented pathway projects in their Trusts.

Equality in Prostate Cancer Care

  • Supporting projects looking to close inequities and inequalities existing in prostate cancer care
  • Included sessions on Black health equity, refugee and asylum seeker barriers to healthcare, and equality through real-world evidence.

Since 2019, a variety of short programmes have developed over 2250 clinicians; impacting around 75,000 patients, their families and numerous Trusts all over the UK.

You can shine with any project if you apply the right tools each step of the way and spend some time trying to orientate yourself and re-focus around any challenges.
