Education Bursaries
Apply for one of our education bursaries to develop your knowledge of prostate disease and prostate cancer. Our bursary scheme supports:
- Individual health professionals looking to develop their own expertise in prostate disease.
- Organisations who want to provide educational training on prostate disease for their health professional staff.
The organisational bursary application is on hold until the next financial year. You can apply now for organisational bursaries for the following financial year. All applications will be reviewed and processed once the new financial year starts. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
Individual bursary
As a health professional, you can apply for a bursary of up to £1,500 to contribute towards the cost of educational activities focused on prostate cancer and other prostate diseases.
Please submit your application by Sunday 3rd of March 2024 to be considered at the next assessment panel week commencing on the 4th of March 2024.
We’ll be in touch after the panel assessment to let you know the outcome and next steps.
You must be currently employed as a registered health, allied health or social care professional in the UK, and provide reasonable evidence of this if your application is successful.
You must be registered with an appropriate regulatory body (General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or similar) and be able to provide details of this in the application form.
The bursary funds of up to £1,500 can only cover the costs of your chosen educational activity. Please note that any travel or accommodation expenses will not be covered by the fund.
To find out more before applying, please read the terms and conditions or email us.
Apply now using our online form. We encourage you to provide as much detailed information as you can to support your application.
All applications will be assessed fairly by our Prostate Cancer UK judging panel, week commencing 27 November 2023. You can submit your application ahead of the deadline on Sunday 26 November 2023.
You can apply for multiple bursaries over the UK financial year (from the beginning of April 2023 to the end of March 2024). However, we can only award a maximum of £1,500 per applicant within that time.
All applications received by the closing date will be closely considered by our Prostate Cancer UK judging panel. Our panel is made up of members with direct experience of healthcare and/or knowledge of the prostate specialist pathway.
We’ll evaluate your application based on five priority areas:
- Support men over 45 in the UK to understand their risk of prostate cancer and provide them with the information and tools to navigate it.
- Facilitate equal care everywhere - regardless of ethnicity, location or income.
- Transform testing for prostate cancer, to give every man the best chance of finding the disease early enough for a cure.
- Research powerful, precise treatments to save and extend men's lives.
- Provide personalised support for men at every stage.

Organisations can apply for bursaries of up to £5,000 to provide prostate cancer and prostate disease-focused education based in the UK - such as training events, study days, workshops or similar.
