End of life: what to expect and how to prepare
Date: 19th May
Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Although advanced prostate cancer can’t be cured, it can often be treated and kept under control for many years. But there will come a time when treatment stops working. If you have advanced prostate cancer you might have a lot of questions about what might happen in the future.
You’ll learn about what happens if your current treatment stops working and what the next steps might look like. You’ll hear about what end of life care could mean for you. You’ll also find out how advance care planning can help ensure your wishes are respected, providing peace of mind for both you and your loved ones. Our speakers will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
Our speakers will be:
- Holly Knight, Specialist Nurse, Prostate Cancer UK
- Elizabeth Pepper, person with lived experience
- Sarah Malik, Deputy Director of Services & Clinical Lead, Compassion In Dying
