Policy work in Northern Ireland
We are proud members of the Northern Ireland Cancer Charities Coalition which meets quarterly to discuss challenges faced by people living with cancer and their loved ones. We are part of several subgroups including prevention and early diagnosis; treatments; living with cancer and campaigns and value the expertise of our Northern Ireland colleagues, with whom we collaborate to amplify our work across the country.

We've actively been engaging with commissioners and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in Northern Ireland to advocate for the approval of abiraterone for men with high-risk metastatic prostate cancer.

Our previous work
Ahead of the May 2022 elections for the Stormont Assembly we put together our manifesto for the changes we want to see in Northern Ireland for the men, and their families, who live with the realities of prostate cancer.
Our team provided a full response to the Public Health Authority's consultation for their 2025-2030 Corporate Plan. We stressed the need to support men as part of their 'Living Well' and 'Ageing Well' priorities.
Through our work with the NICCC, we're advocating for improved cancer outcomes, tackling waiting times, securing sustainable investment in cancer services, and impoving access to treatments such as abiraterone for men with prostate cancer.
