Measuring the impact of our funded research
Ever wondered how we track whether prostate cancer research is actually making a difference?
We’ve built a simple way to show how funded projects move from discovery towards impact. By applying it to 163 Prostate Cancer UK–funded studies, we can now clearly demonstrate how research progresses over time — and why your post-award reports really matter.
UK Prostate Cancer Clinical Research Strategy Group
Thank you to everyone who put themselves forward to join the UK Prostate Cancer Clinical Research Strategy Group - the response has been fantastic!
While membership applications are now closed and under review, the call for grant proposals is still open. Proposals will be considered by the Clinical Research Strategy Group to help shape future priorities and offer constructive feedback, so if you’ve got an idea that could influence the direction of prostate cancer clinical research in the UK, we’d love to see it. Get involved and submit your proposal.
Funding Opportunities
Funding schemes: Opening soon
We’ll be opening for applications to our Career Acceleration Fellowship scheme in March. Open to promising early career researchers, providing support to pursue your own research goals, the scheme aims to support your development towards becoming an independent prostate cancer researcher.
Later this year
Our Transformational Impact Award and Research Innovation Award schemes will be opening again in summer. Start planning your application now!

External Workshops
26th Workshop on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research
The annual methods in clinical cancer research (MCCR) workshop, organised by EORTC, ESMO, and AACR, aims to train early-career investigators in best practices of clinical trial design.
This workshop takes place 13th-18th of June 2026 in Sint Michielsgestel, Netherlands. Applications to attend this event are now open and close on the 30th of January 2026.

Workshop on Translational Cancer Research for Basic Scientists
Organised by the AACR, this workshop is aimed at basic biology scientists wanting to transition to translational research.
The workshop takes place 4th-8th of October 2026 in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA). Applications to attend this event are now open and close on the 7th of May 2026.
