Can we find biological clues within a man's prostate cancer that predict how well specific treatments will work? Learn how research we funded could help personalise treatment options for men with prostate cancer - helping each man get the treatment that is right for them.
Funding Opportunities
Windsor Fellowship - Prostate Cancer UK Summer Internships
We're looking for UK-based researchers to host 8-week summer intern placements in 2027. A student stipend and a small consumables budget will be provided.

Clinical Research Training Fellowships
In partnership with the MRC, we’re offering Clinical Research Training Fellowships to researchers with a clinical background, who wish to undertake a PhD.
The scheme is now open with a deadline of 2 September 2026. Find out more.
Prostate Cancer UK-PCF Young Investigator Award
We’re delighted to be partnering with Prostate Cancer Foundation on a special call within their Young Investigator scheme. The call will provide UK-based early-career clinical scientists with funding of up to $75,000 per year for three years.
Find out more and apply on the Prostate Cancer Foundation website. The application deadline is 1 September 2026.
Transformational Impact Awards
This call supports our larger-scale programmes of work covering high-quality discovery science through to translational and clinical research.
The submission deadline is 22 September 2026.
Research Innovation Awards
Our Research Innovation Awards grant scheme is open for Expressions of Interest. This call is for bold, innovative research projects that have the real potential to impact the way prostate cancer is diagnosed and treated.
Make sure to submit your interest by 6 October 2026.

This summer, we’ve moved to a new online application system called SmartSimple, so if you’ve applied to us before and you're planning to apply to our Research Innovation Awards or our Transformational Impact Awards things will look a little different.

Each week we use our Prostate Cancer UK Researchers LinkedIn to highlight a newly published paper that was supported by our funding. Take a look below at some of last month's featured papers:
Researchers at The Institute of Cancer Research, including Prostate Cancer UK-funded Dr Joe Taylor, review how a specific sequence of molecular signals drive the growth of prostate cancer - and how this could be exploited in the clinic.
Professor Freddie Hamdy, Professor Ian Mills, and Dr Srinivasa Rao outline their new method for obtaining 3D microdissections of prostate cancer tumours.
In this paper, Dr Jennifer Munkley and her team at Newcastle University investigate a potential new prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for prostate cancer.
Researchers at Imperial College London, including several Prostate Cancer UK-funded researchers, investigate whether focal therapies are an effective treatment option for men with localised prostate cancer.
