🕵️‍♂️ Research 'detectives' from Barts Cancer Institute at Queen Mary University London walked the route with some of our amazing families, using guessing games, some delicious sweets, and their inspiring research stories to connect with supporters.

😍 We loved meeting the next generation of researchers as they discovered the challenges of drug development with our buzz wire game, explored precision medicine through colourful hoopla, and tried their hand at pipetting with the team from Imperial College London.

🧪🔬 We chatted about exciting research projects making a real difference across the UK.  Supporters enjoyed interactive games - matching research images to descriptions and playing our research version of 'The Price is Right' to see how their fundraising is vital to driving progress.

 

 

🦆 Members of the TRANSFORM team, from Imperial College and Queen Mary University London, helped supporters of all ages understand how we’re working to find the best way to screen men for prostate cancer, using their brilliant 'hook-a-duck' screening game.

🧬 Researchers from the PROFILE trial at the Institute of Cancer Research had important conversations with supporters about screening studies open to men at higher risk, such as those with a family history of prostate cancer or Black African / Black Caribbean ancestry.

⚡ University of York researchers brought their boundless energy as they helped supporters become 'human molecules' to learn more about spectroscopy, while the Kings College London team generously shared their knowledge and expertise with so many!

🏥 The University College London team showed supporters how their generous donations have already enabled huge improvements to diagnosis and care, with many more exciting developments on the horizon.

March for Men opened my heart even more as a researcher - the memories of the event, the feelings of that level of community and coming together, the meaning behind it all - will continue to inspire and propel me forwards.
