1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer, but all too often they find out by complete chance, too late. It shouldn’t be this way.

Your £18 could help fund the collection of blood samples for research to find new markers of aggressive prostate cancer, helping doctors diagnose earlier, when their cancer is easier to treat. This would hugely benefit research like our TRANSFORM trial, the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial in 20 years, which could save thousands of lives.

Research like the TRANSFORM trial should revolutionise the way we diagnose prostate cancer. It will make late diagnosis a thing of the past, using new techniques to ensure every man’s treatment is tailored to the cancer he has, and to his priorities in life.”

What's TRANSFORM?

The earlier prostate cancer is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat. Yet, prostate cancer is still the only major cancer without mass screening, meaning a man being diagnosed is left to chance.

TRANSFORM is the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial in over 20 years. Our aim is to find the safest and most accurate way to diagnose prostate cancer and turn these into a routine, mass screening programme for all men at risk. Early diagnosis could prevent up to 40% of prostate cancer deaths – that's thousands of lives each year.
