Joe's story

Joe, a competitive athlete, was diagnosed with prostate cancer aged 50 after a conversation with a close friend led him to get a PSA test. Joe’s diagnosis came by total chance - he hadn’t experienced any symptoms and had no idea that the risk for black men was double. Thankfully, Joe's cancer was caught early and he had surgery to remove his prostate. Joe credits his friend for saving his life. He's now passionate about raising awareness and educating as many people as possible.

When caught early, prostate cancer is much easier to treat. But for so many men, their diagnosis comes when it's too late. It shouldn’t be this way.

Your gift today could help fund the research that will improve the odds of catching prostate cancer earlier, saving thousands of lives.
