Jamie Redknapp backs March for Men, as Burton Menswear pledge support

Burton Menswear and the former footballer and Sky Sports pundit have announced their support for our March for Men walking events this summer, in a bid to help stop men dying from prostate cancer.

With March for Men events taking place in Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Nottingham, Burton Menswear stores in these locations will be promoting events with flyers, fitting rooms posters and pin badges. Select stores will also feature a giant Man of Men.

Burton Menswear will also be encouraging staff and customers to sign up and raise funds for vital research into the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

Malcolm Storey, Burton Menswear Brand Director, said: "It’s an honour to support Prostate Cancer UK across this year’s March for Men. Thanks to the great work of the charity, the issue of prostate cancer has now become a national talking point. However, the hard work continues as we aim to raise funds for this brilliant cause."

Our Associate Director of Fundraising, James Beeby, said: "I’m thrilled that our March for Men series continues to gather momentum with the backing from Burton Menswear, and we thank all those involved, including Jamie Redknapp, for their support.

"The March for Men series of walks are a perfect step in the right direction to turn prostate cancer into a disease the next generation of men need not fear."

Burton Menswear model, and former footballer and pundit, Jamie Redknapp is also showing his support, and said: "To hear that prostate cancer is now the third biggest cancer killer and that one man dies every 45 minutes from the disease is shocking.

"Prostate Cancer UK’s work in sport has been brilliant and it’s great to have seen so many football managers, including my dad, wearing their Man of Men pin badge on touchlines up and down the country. So it’s an honour to be involved in Burton’s partnership with Prostate Cancer UK and to support the fantastic March for Men events across the UK this summer."

The March for Men series includes seven walks in major city parks across the UK in June, as well as football marathon marches in July starting at clubs outside London and culminating at Wembley.
