Our Board of Trustees are a body of unpaid volunteers who are collectively responsible for setting the direction and strategy of Prostate Cancer UK. It’s an important role with financial and legal responsibilities.

Our Trustees are recruited for the skills, expertise and experience they can bring to the charity. They provide subject expertise and different perspectives to help us make the right decisions. They meet regularly and approve our strategic and business plans, annual budget, annual report and accounts.

Several of them have lived experience of the effect of prostate cancer on men and their families. You can find out more about our current Trustees here.

Trustee spotlight

With over 20 years’ experience in leadership and management roles, Jenny has generously lent her time and energy to guide the charity as a Trustee since November 2022.

Men’s health shouldn’t be a guessing game. I volunteer as a Trustee because, as a daughter, sister, friend and aunt, I want to be part of a charity that makes a real difference when men and their loved ones need it most. In practice, my role is to review and challenge the papers that come to our Board Committees and Board, testing that proposals align with strategy and deliver the best outcomes. Recently, working in a small, subgroup on the next 10-year strategy was deeply fulfilling, helping shape the course for the decade ahead. Volunteering is how I give back.
