Our Information Review volunteers support us to make our health information as clear and accurate as possible. Their insight ensures we give men the vital support and advice they need to navigate their own prostate cancer journey.

As an Information Review volunteer, you’ll look through factsheets, booklets or webpages, answering a few short questions about its content, tone and language.

Looking for a quick and simple way to make a big impact? This is the perfect role for you. It’s something anybody can do, and we’re keen to hear from partners and family members too. The process should only take a few hours and can be done in your own time at home; all we need is your honest opinions of our content.

Prostate Cancer UK currently holds the Patient Information Forum (PIF) Tick, the UK’s only recognised quality standard of health information. We are committed to involving people with lived experience, so our more than 80 information resources continue to be high-quality for the men we support.

Having lived experience of prostate cancer herself, Susan finds this light-touch role not only rewarding, but easy to commit to.

I really enjoy doing this - it feels like giving back for all the support my husband and I have had from you, plus I learn all sorts of new things.

We are always looking for more people to join our volunteer panel, and our review requests are open to anyone and everyone. You can pick what you get involved with, and you can do as many, or as few, as you want! We usually ask for up to six volunteers for each review.
