Football to Amsterdam 2020

Leave your rivalries on the pitch and help stop prostate cancer being a killer. Prostate cancer kills 1 man every 45 minutes - that's two men during a football match - but it doesn't have to be this way.

Football to Amsterdam is your chance to change the game for men everywhere, by cycling either from Sheffield or London to Amsterdam from 5-7 June 2020.

Choose between Yorkshire to Amsterdam or London to Amsterdam, taking on this three day event (two days of riding) and take your team to the top of the league.

You can make a real difference to the lives of men with prostate cancer.

Sign up now and use discount code EARLYBIRD50 for £50 off the registration fee - hurry though, this code will only be valid for a limited time.

What’s the plan?

We’ll take care of all the logistics from the moment you arrive in Sheffield or London so you’re free to enjoy the event.

Friday 5 June: Arrive at the start early in the morning, ready to take on the first day of the ride! You’ll cover around 80 miles in total, with a feed stop in the morning, a hearty lunch to spur you on and a final feed station in the afternoon, before arriving at the finish of Day 1. You’ll have the opportunity to shower and enjoy a hot meal, before boarding the overnight ferry to Holland.

Saturday 6 June: It’s the start of Day 2! You’ll enjoy breakfast on the ferry before disembarking ready to ride the cycle paths of Holland. Covering around 60 miles today, there’ll be plenty of feed stations along the way to keep you going. Enjoy a big finish in Amsterdam, before a celebration meal and the chance to have a night out in Amsterdam with all your teammates.

Sunday 7 June: Breakfast will be served at your hotel, before coach transfers will start your journey home. If you’ve cycled Yorkshire to Amsterdam, the coach will take you to the airport for a flight home. In the UK, a coach will collect you from the airport and take you back to Sheffield Wednesday to pick up your bike. If you’ve cycled London to Amsterdam, the coach will take you to Brussels to board the Eurostar back to London, where you’ll be transferred back to the Olympic Park to pick up your bike.

What's the route?

There are two routes to choose from – London to Amsterdam or Yorkshire to Amsterdam. Day 1 on both routes is an 80 mile cycle to reach either Harwich or Hull to get the overnight ferry. The day is split up into 20-30 mile sections with feed stations in between.

Day Two is a flat and scenic ride along the Dutch canal paths, finishing at Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff Arena. Here you'll celebrate your achievements and then get ready for a big night out!

The routes are being finalised now and we'll be able to share them with you soon.
