The conference will be led by Amy Rylance (Head of Improving Care at Prostate Cancer UK) and Nick Ridgman (Head of Health Information & Clinical Support at Prostate Cancer UK). They'll be joined by a range of speakers who'll provide you the latest information on active surveillance, helping you to provide best practice care for your patients.

What you'll cover
During the conference you’ll cover topics including best practice and the gold standard when communicating active surveillance.
You’ll get the chance to ask any questions and engage in peer-to-peer discussions throughout the event.
The conference is designed for clinical nurse specialists and allied health professionals, but all specialists who care for men with prostate cancer are welcome.
If you can’t attend on the day, we’ll be sharing the recordings with all who registered after the event.

By the end of this conference, you'll be able to:
Overview
- Manage your patients' psychological burden around active surveillance practice.
- Understand the whole of the CNS in the delivery of active surveillance protocols.
- Share your new learnings with your network and clinical team to ensure local consistency on active surveillance protocols.
Best practice
- Understand how evidence is being used to implement dedicated active surveillance pathways to ensure all eligible men receive adequate counselling and follow up.
- Promote a multidisciplinary approach to the management of prostate cancer through active surveillance follow up care plan and recognise key stakeholders' involvement.
Communication
- Outline the critical role of clinicians in communicating diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment choices.
- Design personalised care plans and communicate them to patients to empower them to take ownership of their active surveillance journey.
- Providing reassurance using test results, prognostic tools and updates to care plan and discussing need for treatment due to clinical progression.

After the conference, you'll receive an email with a quick evaluation form to fill in. Once completed you'll be able to download your certificate of attendance.

Yes, if you've registered, you'll be able to join and leave at any time.
Will the conference be recorded?
All sessions will be recorded and available to view for 6 months afterwards to the online conference platform. Register now to make sure you receive your log in details. We strongly recommend participating on the day though, as you'll get the opportunity to ask questions and get involved in discussions with your peers.
