Get to know our newest Trustee: Nick Hampton

We're delighted to welcome Nick Hampton to our Board of Trustees. As the biggest funder of public research in the UK, we're on a mission to build a future where no man dies from prostate cancer, and we're excited for Nick to bring his expertise and help us achieve this.

Supporting our mission

Nick brings with him a wealth of commercial knowledge and experience, having held a number of senior general management, strategic, financial and operational roles in large, multinational businesses.

Discussing his appointment, Nick said: “I am absolutely delighted to join the board of Prostate Cancer UK as a trustee.

"I have experienced first-hand the fear, uncertainty and challenges that a diagnosis can bring and I am excited to have the opportunity to use my experience to help make a difference for other men and their families."

Career and experience

Nick is currently Chief Executive of Tate & Lyle PLC. Prior to this, he had a twenty-year career at PepsiCo where he held a number of senior roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Europe from 2008 to 2013, as well as PepsiCo's President, West Europe Region and Senior Vice President Commercial, Europe. 

Nick is also the Senior Independent Director of Severn Trent PLC, the water and waste water company. Until April 2025, Nick was the Senior Independent Director of Great Portland Estates Plc, where he had served on the Board since October 2016. 

He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from St. John’s College, Oxford University.
