Ian's story
When Ian was diagnosed he never thought about his risk or getting a PSA test. But after going to the doctor with something unrelated, Ian was given the devastating news that he had advanced prostate cancer.
“When I was told my cancer was metastatic, I didn’t know what it meant until they said ‘you will not get better’. That’s when it hit me.”
A lifelong adventurer, Ian has had to adjust to the physical and mental toll of treatment. Enzalutamide has slowed the cancer’s spread, but fatigue and brain fog have changed his day-to-day life. The support of his family and friends have helped Ian come to terms with things. Today, he’s determined to make sure other men don't go through what he has. He says, “If I can help other men get diagnosed earlier and more accurately, I’ll do anything.”
