It's The Even Bigger 180! Darts stars aim for more maximums to boost our lifesaving campaign with Paddy Power

We're once again teaming up with Paddy Power, the Professional Darts Corporation and Sky Sports to save men's lives at the World Darts Championship. And this year our campaign is going EVEN BIGGER for The Even Bigger 180, with the chance for one lucky darts fan to pocket £180,000.

We’re calling on 180,000 men to check their prostate cancer risk

Right now, the biggest lifesaver is making sure every man knows their risk of prostate cancer. Because the earlier you find it, the easier it is to treat. That’s why we’re getting our message out to men right across the country. And urging darts fans in all corners of the UK to check their risk using our 30-second online risk checker.

The tournament kicks off at London’s Alexandra Palace on 11 December, and the biggest stars in darts will be competing for the sought-after Ballon d’Art trophy – on offer for the player with the most maximums.

For each 180 scored at this year’s championship, Paddy Power will donate £1,000 – plus a huge £180,000 bonus for every nine-darter. That’s £60,000 to the player, £60,000 to one lucky darts fan in the Ally Pally crowd, and a further £60,000 to support TRANSFORM – the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial for decades.

Our TRANSFORM trial will find the best way to diagnose the disease early, when it’s easier to treat. And pave the way for a national screening programme, where every man at risk is invited for regular, accurate tests. It will help us save men’s lives long into the future.

One step closer to a world where all men are invited for regular tests

Paddy Power have raised over £2 million in their first two years sponsoring the tournament, helping support our TRANSFORM trial, which will find the best way to diagnose prostate cancer early.

But this Christmas, we’re aiming to go EVEN BIGGER – by raising record funds and reaching men right across the UK with our lifesaving message.

Check your risk of prostate cancer today

And if you've done it already, talk to the men in your life and ask them to check theirs too. It only takes 30 seconds – you can do it while you’re watching the darts!

The Paddy Power World Darts Championships is the biggest event in the darts calendar, bringing together the world’s best players for the top prize in the sport. This year will see a record-breaking 128-player field take to the Ally Pally. Working alongside Paddy Power, The Professional Darts Corporation and Sky Sports, the Championships gives us the chance to get our lifesaving message out to millions of men who'll be watching every throw.

Laura Kerby, our Chief Executive, said: “We’re thrilled to be back on the oche with Paddy Power again this festive period as The Even Bigger 180 returns. This campaign has had an incredible impact in making men across the UK more aware of their risk of prostate cancer, and what they can choose to do about it. That’s crucial, as this disease often has no symptoms in its earlier, more treatable stages.”
