Huge congratulations to our Clinical Champions!

We’re submitting a ‘Clinician Team’ as part of our March the Month challenge. It's a virtual step challenge, so pop on those walking or running shoes and get out there to raise money. With every step, you'll be helping us improve diagnosis, treatment and support for thousands of men.

The aim is 11,000 steps a day, but we know how difficult balancing work and life can be, so any movement can be counted. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Can testosterone therapy be a viable option for men suffering with the effects from hypogonadism due to prostate cancer treatment?

Our Black Health Equity and Engagement team play a vital role in our mission to save lives by addressing the health inequalities that disproportionately affect Black men. Black men face double the risk of developing prostate cancer, yet too many remain unaware of the importance of early diagnosis. We are committed to raising awareness, supporting men with lived experience, and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure better outcomes for Black men.

Building trust and fostering strong relationships with Black communities are central to our efforts. Our initiative also provides crucial support to Black men with lived experience, connecting them with services that guide them through their prostate cancer journey. Through partnerships with healthcare professionals, community engagement and advocacy initiatives, we aim to raise awareness and influence research to be more inclusive and representative. Engaging Black volunteers to support our work further amplifies our impact, ensuring our approach is informed and guided by the voices of the community. Together, we can ensure that we leave no man behind.

The impact of our Sexual Wellbeing Programme

Thursday 13th March 2025 1.30 – 4.30pm

Join us for an exciting virtual conference. Chaired by Dr Abel Tesfai, our Senior Data and Evidence Officer, our free mini-conference will delve into our work addressing health inequalities. We'll discuss the disparities experienced by Black men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer and explore some of our research findings in the health inequalities space.

Our keynote speaker Dr Tom Cowling, Associate Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and National Prostate Cancer Audit (NPCA) Methodology Lead will share his insights from the latest England and Wales NPCA State of the Nation Report, including sociodemographic and tumour data from England.

We’re also running a short programme later this year, focused on health inequalities - you can register your interest here to be notified when applications open.
