Mike McGrath
Mike has over 25 years’ experience in the UK and global voluntary sectors in senior executive and non-executive roles. During his career Mike has specialised in strategic, commercial and charitable partnerships; strategic transformation and social impact; philanthropy and major institutional income generation; and senior relationship engagement and ambassadorial networks.
Mike is Chief Executive of Air Ambulances UK and a Trustee of Prostate Cancer UK. Mike’s prior experience includes 14 years at the NSPCC including several senior leadership positions including Voluntary Income Director, Head of Partnerships and most recently the charity’s Special Adviser to the multi-industry Child Safety Online Taskforce.
Prior to joining Air Ambulances UK in 2026, Mike’s sector experience includes child protection; microfinance; older people’s services; health research and advocacy; and international development and education. Prior to joining Prostate Cancer UK as a Trustee in 2022, Mike’s non-executive roles included Trusteeships of international health charity LEPRA and the Charity Employees Benevolent Fund.
A values-driven leader and believe in lifelong learning, Mike studied History at Newcastle University; International Development & Business Innovation at the Open University; Fundraising Management at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising; and is a triple alum of Windsor Leadership.
