At the moment, we don’t know how to identify all men at high risk of having aggressive prostate cancer. Research into this area is a key priority of our Research Strategy. This collection lists the studies we’re supporting to better understand a man's risk of developing prostate cancer and in particular their risk of developing an aggressive form of the disease. We hope that identifying the men at high risk of aggressive disease will mean they can be closely monitored and treated before the cancer spreads outside the prostate. Ultimately, we hope that this will save lives and stop men dying of prostate cancer.
