Fundraising online

Create an online fundraising page

JustGiving is the quickest and easiest way to raise sponsorship. Create a fundraising page for an individual or team and help get your friends and family involved in what you’re doing.

Create a fundraising page

JustGiving will let us know when you’ve set up your page and the money is transferred to us automatically, so you won't have to chase any cash or cheques. Your sponsors will have the option to add Gift Aid to their donation, which means we can get an extra 25p for every £1 they donate - at no extra cost to them!

Raise your page's game

Check out our top tips below to make your page stand out and help you smash your fundraising target.

1. Make your page unmissable

With so many fundraising pages out there, think about how to make yours exceptional. Add photos, videos or a blog to your page and show people how hard you’re working in the run up to your event. We've put together an example of a good fundraising page to give you some ideas.

2. Update your story

Tell people why you’re doing your event. Personal stories add meaning to your event, and when you share your passion with people they will be more likely to donate to your cause.

3. Self donate to your page

Did you know? People who self-donate on their fundraising page raise on average 42% more. Sometimes all it takes is that first donation to get the pounds rolling in. So why not pop a fiver on your page yourself to kick things off? Better yet, ask someone close to you to be the first to donate. This will encourage your friends and family to donate too and help you reach your fundraising goal.

4. Share your page on social media, via email and on WhatsApp

Spread the word and share your page link with colleagues, contacts, friends and family on email and social media. It’s easy to copy and paste your link or use the share function on JustGiving. Again, message your most generous friends and family to sponsor you first. It's also a great idea to ask them to share your page with their friends too to reach even more people.

5. Regular reminders

Keep your contacts updated with how you’re doing. If you’ve just completed an amazing training run, if the venue for your event has been confirmed or if you’ve just bought the new wetsuit you plan to wear when you take part then tell them about it! Combine these updates with a link to your page and a reminder to donate. You can even keep your contacts updated on how close you are to your fundraising goal.
