Prostate cancer affects every community. We want your pub to sign up to become a Men United Arms and we’ll send you a free fundraising and awareness pack to get you started.
The Men United Arms is Prostate Cancer UK’s unique fundraising experience for pubs. Our aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer and get conversations started in places where people feel comfortable talking, such as a pub. As a Men United Arms, you'll also be automatically entered into our free draw each month to win prizes for your pub and your customers.Sign up
Landlords across the land are joining the fight to beat a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes in the UK.
Ant Walton has been running the Rose of Lancaster pub in Chadderton for 10 years. He chose Prostate Cancer UK to be the pub's charity of the year when a family friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer. For Ant, it seemed like the natural step to get the pub and its customers to back a cause dedicated to stopping men dying from the disease.
"Raising money for Prostate Cancer UK brings all the people in the pub together, and we also found that a few locals have been diagnosed," said Ant. "Touch wood, there’s a lot of them that have had successful treatment and come out the other side smiling."
Together with this staff and customers, Ant raised over £7,500 last year by turning his pub into a Men United Arms.
