The BIGGER 180
As the official charity partner of the World Darts Championship, we're teaming up with the Professional Darts Corporation and Paddy Power once again to save men’s lives.
It's The BIGGER 180. And this year we're hitting the big numbers
As the charity partner of the World Darts Championship, we’re working together with Paddy Power and the Professional Darts Corporation to save men's lives – right here, right now.
Because until we have a screening programme, the biggest lifesaver is making sure every man knows his risk of prostate cancer.
That’s why we’re getting our message out to men right across the country. And urging darts fans in all corners of the UK to take our 30-second online risk checker.
We're on target to save thousands of men's lives
The biggest stars in darts will be aiming to hit as many 180s as possible – with the Ballon d’Art trophy up for grabs for the man with the most maximums. And for each 180 scored at this year’s championship, Paddy Power will donate £1,000, plus a massive £180,000 bonus for every nine-darter. That’s £60,000 to the player who lands the perfect checkout, £60,000 to one lucky darts fan in the Ally Pally crowd and a further £60,000 to support our groundbreaking TRANSFORM trial.
We’re aiming to hit the big numbers, so we can find the best way to diagnose prostate cancer and save thousands of men’s lives every year.

World Champ Luke throws his support behind The BIGGER 180
As he takes to the oche to defend his title, reigning World Champion and Ballon d’Art winner Luke Humphries has thrown his support behind The BIGGER 180.
Luke will be targeting a record number of 180s at this year’s tournament after firing in an incredible 73 maximums on his way to a maiden World Championship win 12 months ago. Each one will land a £1,000 donation to support our work.
“It’s an amazing campaign and I’ll be doing everything I can to help,” said Luke. “It means a lot to me.”
Every maximum fires us closer to a screening programme
Right now, there’s no national screening programme inviting men for regular, accurate prostate cancer tests. And as a result, too many men are being diagnosed too late – when it's harder to treat. This has to change.
And that’s where TRANSFORM comes in. TRANSFORM is the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial ever and will find the best way to diagnose prostate cancer early, paving the way for a screening programme that could save thousands of lives every year.
With Paddy Power as a founding partner in TRANSFORM, The BIGGER 180 will help us move closer to a world where all men are invited for regular, accurate tests.
Prostate Cancer UK is proud to be selected as the official charity partner of the Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship (15 December 2024 – 3 January 2025).
