Prostate Cancer UK in Partnership with Movember

Problems with sex life are the most reported health-related quality-of-life issues following treatment for prostate cancer, and all treatments have sexual-health side effects. Movember’s Clinical Guidelines for Sexual Health Care and Prostate Cancer is the underpinning framework for evidence, gaps, and current best practices internationally. Prostate Cancer UK are currently working with Movember to establish support national projects and implementation research in response to the guideline recommendations. As well as working on our individual improvement project, joining this programme gives you an opportunity to become a champion for the local rollout and implementation of these critical guidelines.

The Improvement programme helped me exceed all my expectations when carrying out research into the sexual wellbeing of men with prostate cancer. It also gave me the connections and platform to share the findings with clinical colleagues across the UK and beyond to have a direct impact on supportive care.
