We’ll support you from the initial planning stages of your project through to implementation and review.
Your Project
Aligned with the NHS Faster Diagnosis Standards, our goal is to support you in meeting the 28-day target for prostate cancer diagnosis. Implementing the Faster Diagnosis Standard will ensure:
- Faster diagnosis and the early detection of prostate cancer
- Better outcomes for men
- Streamlined processes, making it easier for men to access care
- Reduced wait times
- Reduced anxiety for men
- Resources are allocated effectively, ensuring that patients receive the care they need without unnecessary delays
- Reduced costs by preventing complications through early diagnosis and treatment
- Health disparities are addressed
Who should apply?
This programme is for Professionals with an interest in improving the diagnostic pathway for prostate cancer. We would strongly welcome you and a colleague from different departments to apply together, including;
- Pathway trackers, Project managers
- Pathway managers from trusts and cancer alliances.
- Radiologists
- Radiographers
- Urologists
- Oncologists
- Clinical Nurse Specialist Diagnostic Leads
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- Cancer support workers

Programme dates
Welcome session (virtual): Thursday 27 March 2025 7-9pm
Module 1 (virtual): Tuesday 1 April 2025 9am - 12pm
Module 2 and Module 3 (residential): Wednesday 30 April – Thursday 1 May 2025
Event to be held in Manchester (exact venue to be confirmed).
Module 4 (virtual): Wednesday 16 July 2025 9am – 12pm.
Please ensure you can attend all sessions before applying.
Please note that Modules 2 and 3 will be held as in-person residential sessions, which will include an overnight stay. Accommodations for overnight stay, meals, and refreshments will be provided.
