12 Jun 2025Joining forces with Iceland Foods to mark Men’s Health Week and Father’s Day
In the latest step in our long-standing partnership with Iceland Foods, CEO Tarsem Dhaliwal OBE and his son Paul open up about their family’s close personal connection to the most common cancer in men.

The father and son duo at the helm of one of the UK’s most famous high street supermarkets – Iceland Foods – have joined forces with us to help raise lifesaving awareness of prostate cancer.
In a heartfelt and timely conversation marking Men’s Health Week and Father’s Day, Iceland Foods CEO Tarsem Dhaliwal OBE sat down with his son, Chief Commercial Officer Paul Dhaliwal, to talk about the most common cancer in men.
During their poignant chat, Tarsem and Paul reflect on their family history of prostate cancer and urge other men to have similar conversations this Father’s Day.
And as we mark this special occasion, we’re also delighted to announce that Tarsem will be taking on an exciting new role as an ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK.
“I’m committed to helping my son - and every man - understand their risk of prostate cancer and take action early,” says Tarsem.
“Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation has been working alongside Prostate Cancer UK for almost two decades, and we’re honoured to use this Father’s Day as a moment to shine a spotlight on such an important issue, starting lifesaving conversations between fathers, sons, families and communities.”
Working side by side with Iceland Foods to drive lifesaving awareness
We’ve been working in partnership with Iceland Foods since 2008, helping to raise vital awareness of a disease that affects 1 in 8 men.
Thanks to their recent support over the last three years, the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation has now donated more than £1.5 million towards our work – with a key focus on helping us tackle health inequalities and reach men at highest risk of prostate cancer.
Working closely with their supplier, Astonish Cleaning, Iceland have also helped us get our risk awareness message out in 900 stores across the UK by creating handwash bottles featuring our 30-second online Risk Checker.
“For more than a decade, we’ve proudly worked side by side with the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation," said our Chief Executive, Laura Kerby.
"And we’re delighted they’re once again helping to raise vital awareness of prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men.
“Father’s Day is a poignant time, as many families remember loved ones and celebrate those still with us. And we’re incredibly grateful to Tarsem and his son Paul for sharing their personal story so openly.”
I'm committed to helping my son - and every man - understand their risk of prostate cancer and take action early.
If your dad or brother has had prostate cancer, your risk is even higher
On top of Iceland Foods’ incredible support, we’re excited to welcome Tarsem as an ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK.
Our ambassadors are bold, passionate voices who have an important role to play at the very heart of our mission to save men’s lives.
As a high-profile supporter, Tarsem will use his platform to shine a spotlight on prostate cancer – whether sharing his personal experiences, championing our campaigns or backing our vital fundraising efforts.
We’re incredibly grateful to Tarsem for stepping forward into this voluntary role – and using his profile to raise awareness of the most common cancer in men.
And as someone whose family has been personally affected by prostate cancer, Tarsem will help shine a spotlight on this important risk factor.
Because if you’re over 50, if you’re Black or if your dad or brother has had the disease, you’re at even higher risk.

Take the first step by checking your risk – it only takes 30 seconds
It’s the most common cancer in men. But by knowing your risk, you can find prostate cancer earlier – when it’s easier to treat. And all it takes is 30 seconds.
This Father’s Day, take the first step and check your risk online. And if you’ve done it already, talk to your dad, brother, uncle and mates – and make sure they know their risk too.
