Mark’s inspiring story
Last year, Mark called on his longtime friend Alan to take on their own Big Golf Race at their local Surrey golf club. Mark had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022 and turned to his pal Alan to ask for his support in raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The duo, along with eight of their mates conquered the Big Golf Race last June, teeing off at 4:30am to make the most of the long summer day. Together the eight of them raised an incredible £46,691 while having a great time on the course.
After his epic effort taking on the marathon 72 holes of golf in a day, Mark has the following advice for 2024 Big Golf Racers:
Change socks every round, rotate two pairs of shoes and, most importantly, have fun!
