This May, you can hear about the progress being made in prostate cancer research and how gifts in Wills are funding research and stopping prostate cancer from being a killer.

Join us at The British Library in London and hear from Prostate Cancer UK funded scientists, Professor Emma Hall and Dr Julia Murray, about their innovative work. Ask your questions to our panel of experts and attend a private tour of the Library’s Treasures Collection.

Event Details

The British Library, a seven-minute walk from King’s Cross Station, is fully accessible by London Transport.

You’re very welcome to bring a guest, just let us know when you register to attend and please provide us with any dietary requirements you may have.

What to expect on the day:

  • Hear from Prostate Cancer UK-funded scientists Professor Emma Hall and Dr Julia Murray who are currently researching stereotactic body radiotherapy, a kind of targeted radiotherapy, to see if it can slow the progression of advanced prostate cancer.
  • Hear firsthand from Dr Hayley Luxton, the Research Impact and Intelligence Manager at Prostate Cancer UK. She'll be sharing how we plan to tackle prostate cancer head on. And, how you can help us do that with a gift in your Will.
  • Get the opportunity to ask your questions to a panel of prostate cancer specialists, including Professor Hall, Dr Murray, Hayley Luxton and Lisa O’Sullivan, a Prostate Cancer UK Specialist Nurse.
  • We’ll provide refreshments and the talks will be followed by tea and cake. There will also be the opportunity to attend a private tour of the library’s Treasures collection.
