Probably the best march sponsors in the world...

Even better than a beer, Carlsberg – our corporate sponsor of the Men United March – are supplying their very own team of staff to swell the legions of Jeff’s fundraising marchers on Day 8, as the route passes their Northampton brewery on its way to Milton Keynes. We raise a glass to their long-term support for Prostate Cancer UK.

Every walker knows there's nothing like a cold beer to slake a thirst mid-hike. But when Jeff passes through Northampton on Day 8 of his Men United March, just a stone's throw from Carlsberg's UK brewery and head office, there'll be picking up much more than just a pint of refreshing lager.

That's because the March's official corporate sponsor is sending a team of 22 staff to join Jeff's ranks from Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium to MK Dons – and they've raised more than £4,000 for the cause so far.

"As soon as we heard about Jeff’s March, we were keen to show our support," said Paul Morris, Sponsorship and Activation Manager at Carlsberg UK. "Not only is Jeff a good friend of Carlsberg’s, but Prostate Cancer UK is a fantastic cause that our people care deeply about and have supported for a number of years. We hope the association helps to amplify the organisation’s messaging to reach more men nationwide."

"We are very grateful for the continued backing from Carlsberg, who have been friends of ours for several years," said Angela Culhane, our CEO. "By encouraging their staff to take part, Carlsberg are a perfect example of what we call Men United – friends getting together and doing something great to beat prostate cancer."

With partners like them on board, I think we're on the right track to making this disease something men and their loved ones no longer fear

Jeff Stelling, too, thinks the partnership with the popular brewer is a winning combination. "I'm delighted that Carlsberg are backing the Men United March," he said. "With partners like them on board, I think we're on the right track to making this disease something men and their loved ones no longer fear."

We say cheers to that!
