Day 8: Oldham Athletic via Rochdale FC to Accrington Stanley
Friday 9 June, 25.6miles and 720m ascent
As we pass halfway, Jeff and his fellow walkers will undergo one of the toughest days on the March - a real mixture of terrain with lots of hills and some off-road sections.
Fear not though, as with the hard work comes great views, including Ashworth and Harden Moors, and an epic sense of accomplishment.
A hilly, off road venture sees the group leave from Boundary Park, Oldham Athletic’s stadium, via Russ Green’s Rochdale AFC before arriving at Accrington Stanley’s Crown Ground.
If you fancy a real challenge, this is your day to take part. Just don't forget to bring a pair of proper walking boots for this one!
What is Jeff Stelling's March for Men?
Jeff is walking almost 400 miles from Exeter City's St James Park to Newcastle United’s St James’ Park to help stop prostate cancer being a killer. Along the way he'll visit over 40 football clubs and will be joined by some famous faces.
Sounds great - how do I get involved?
Book your place on one or more legs by paying a £25 registration fee and pledging to raise at least £300 in sponsorship per day.
