This 30 credit MSc module, offered by Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, is for therapeutic radiographers. The course will enable you to develop your professional knowledge and enhance your clinical and research skills. 


To relate, apply and critique the principles of prostate cancer management to the complexities of clinical practice and the person affected.

Module content

This module will allow students to investigate or to develop several areas of interest related to the management of prostate cancer e.g brachytherapy, robotic surgery, image/dose guided radiotherapy and long term effects of radical treatment.

Students will be supported in learning with the aim of achieving writing skills and content suitable for journal publication and a critical reflection based on how to incorporate their learning into practice. 

Subject content will include:

  • Treatment modalities and applications
  • Current management strategies of prostate cancer
  • Development of new technologies and innovations
  • Person centred prostate cancer care
  • Guidance on journal publication and critical reflective writing
