David Neal CBE is a Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Oxford. He is also Senior Vice President of Global Research at Elsevier, working on digital health solutions, clinical decision-support tools and precision medicine. He has nearly 40 years of expertise in clinical and translational studies of urological cancers; molecular abnormalities of androgen receptor signalling and gene alterations in prostate cancer; and in the clinical and surgical treatment of patients with urological cancers. Over the course of his career he has received over £60 million in research funding and his work has been cited over 25,000 times. In 2014 he was awarded the CBE for services to surgery.
