After a career in the City and management consulting, Andrew worked as a serial entrepreneur (with mixed results!) during the 1990s. He manages a £150m early stage venture capital programme in the North East of England and has also served as vice-Chair of Council at Durham University, a Trustee of Reach to Teach (an educational charity working in Gujarat), and Chair of the North East Social Investment Company. He is an investor in, and Board member of, a number of early stage software and IT businesses. An Aston Villa season ticket holder (for his sins), Andrew also loves cricket, hacks around golf courses and is learning the piano. He has three grown-up children.
