Sue originally joined Prostate Cancer UK in 2013 and liked it so much that she is now on her second stint of working here. Sue leads our People and Facilities teams, helping us be a great place to work or volunteer and she is passionate about people experience, our culture and living our working principles in everything we do.
Sue is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and worked in the private sector with organisations such as Canon, Samsung and the BBC before moving into the voluntary sector. Her experience covers HR, as well as operational leadership, including new service development and taking a broad remit at a national charity for young people with complex needs where she was Deputy Chief Executive. Sue has also been a primary school governor, NHS non-executive director and is currently a co-opted member of the Group People & Organisational Development Committee at Recovery Focus, a national mental health charity.
Outside of work, Sue loves music and theatre. She has a personal connection to our cause as her two godsons are at increased risk of prostate cancer as a result of family history.
