Career Development Fellowships
Prostate Cancer UK Career Development Fellowships are available
to high calibre researchers who have at least three, but no more
than six years' experience post-PhD. The award of up to £750,000
will provide support for five years and is intended to provide
researchers with their first chance to establish independence. The
application must come from the prospective fellow. Applicants will
be expected to demonstrate the promise of becoming future research
leaders and will have an excellent track record in their previous
work.

Academy of Medical Science Starter Grants for Clinical
Lectureships
The Academy of Medical Sciences offer a Starter Grants for
Clinical Lecturers scheme to enable research active Clinical
Lecturers to pursue their research work, gather preliminary data
and so further strengthen their applications for longer-term
fellowships and funding.

PhD Studentships
Prostate Cancer UK PhD Studentships are available to established
researchers who have a strong track record in their field and
experience in supervising PhD students. Studentships will be for
three years and provide funds for a tax-free stipend, fees,
research expenses and travel up to £100,000 per award. Applications
must be made by the proposed supervisor; they will not be accepted
from prospective students. It is not necessary to have identified a
student at the application stage.

PCUK-College of Radiographers
Clinical Research Training Fellowship
Clinical Research Training Fellowships of up to £225,000 each
are offered to provide an opportunity for high calibre
radiographers (diagnostic or therapeutic) to carry out a two to
three year programme of research in the area of prostate cancer
that will lead to a PhD qualification. The application must come
from the prospective Fellow. Applicants must be full members of the
Society of Radiographers and if successfully awarded, the Fellow
must remain as a member for the duration of the award.

Daphne Jackson Trust
Fellowships
Daphne Jackson Trust Fellowships are designed to help scientific
researchers with a strong track record to re-enter a scientific
research career. The scheme is aimed at those who have taken a
career break of at least two years for family, health or caring
reasons. The awards for £65,000 are for two years on a part-time
basis and include compulsory training courses on work life balance,
presentation skills, media and PR skills and professional skills.
Prostate Cancer UK will fund two fellowships this year for
researchers looking to return to a career in prostate cancer
research.

Royal College of Surgeons Clinical
Research Training Fellowship
These fellowships are normally for up to one year and provides a
salary for the Research Fellow.
