The Prostate Cancer Charity is delighted to announce that it has
been shortlisted for three Third Sector Excellence Awards. The
awards recognise and celebrate the work of the not-for-profit
sector and showcase talent, innovation and success.
The Charity has been shortlisted for Best Fundraising Event for
the Charity's Tour Rides, Best Fundraising Team and Volunteer of
the Year, which recognises charity supporter Geoff Douglass'
outstanding commitment to the cause.
Across these three categories, the Charity faces strong
competition from a number of different organisations, including
Oxfam, British Heart Foundation and Shelter.
Shortlisted entrants, including the Charity, will be announced
at the Excellence Awards Dinner at the Lancaster London Hotel in
London on the evening of Wednesday 28 September 2011.
Director of Fundraising for The Prostate Cancer Charity, Mark
Bishop, said: "The Charity is incredibly proud to have been
shortlisted for three awards and thrilled to have all our hard
recognised in this way. The fundraising team has worked tirelessly
on a number of campaigns over the past twelve months and our Tour
Rides are now a fixed part of the sportive cycling calendar. We are
especially proud that Geoff has been shortlisted as his support to
both the Fundraising and Media & PR team has been
invaluable."
