The leading prostate cancer organisations from across the world
gathered to collaborate, listen and learn from each other to make a
tangible difference to the lives of men with prostate cancer.
Owen Sharp, Chief Executive of Prostate Cancer UK attended the
event in Los Angeles and commented "Movember has already done so
much in terms of raising awareness of men's health and prostate
cancer. The next step is making sure there are real outcomes for
men in terms of support and research. Taking a global approach to
survivorship means we are pooling expertise and being more united
to ensure men with this disease get the support they need. It was
great to be a part of the conference, especially now I am a
committed Mo Bro myself."
More than 854,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas participated in Movember
last year with official Movember campaigns in 21 countries across
the globe in 2012. This worldwide success has enabled organisations
from the likes of Australia, New Zealand, USA, South Africa,
Ireland to work towards a better future for all men with prostate
cancer.
