The Prostate Cancer Charity has unveiled details of the route
for its first mass participation event to be held this summer.
Taking its name from the Jurassic coastline it embraces, The
Wiggle Jurassic Classic, will pass through some of Devon's most
picturesque coastline when it comes to the county on 8th July.
Cyclists on the 100k
challenge will pedal through several Devon villages, including
Budleigh Salterton and Otterton, before heading inland at Sidmouth.
Cyclists will then ride through the villages of Sidford, Sidbury,
Honiton and the Otter Vale before reaching Woodbury Common, and
heading back to the finish in Exmouth.
Entrants to the more gruelling 100
mile ride will experience the first-class views of Beer,
Seaton, Lyme Regis and Charmouth. From here they will ride through
stunning countryside via Axminster then freewheel back into Exmouth
for the finish.
As well as being treated to stunning views, cyclists taking on
the challenge will also be rewarded with Marks & Spencer
sandwiches at feed stations on route for their efforts, as part of
the Charity's ongoing partnership with the high-street
retailer.

Charity, added: "We are delighted that M&S have joined the
Wiggle Jurassic Classic. For most, a 100km or 100mile cycle ride is
a tough challenge so our cyclists will need a well-earned snack to
keep them pedalling along the course.
"This is the first time that we have staged our own cycling
event in Devon and we are hoping that as many people as possible
will join us on the day to take on this exciting challenge and help
us spread the word about this disease."
Riders will also be kept energised with High5 providing sports
nutrition, Fyffes handing out 2000 bananas and Pure Dartmoor Water
supplying water at refuelling stops along the course.
The venue of the start and finish is Exmouth Rugby Club,
Imperial Recreation Ground, Exmouth, Devon. Families, friends and
supporters are also welcome to join in on the day.

Both distances cost £28 to take part in, with the 100mile route
starting from 7am and 100km from 8am.
