The 2017 Brighton Marathon will take place on Sunday 9 April and will be our best event yet. With more runners, huge crowds and some exciting developments, the UK’s most exciting new marathon will be taken to a whole new level. In its eighth year, the Brighton Marathon takes you on a route through Brighton & Hove with glorious coastal views and a finish on the famous Brighton Beach. This year Prostate Cancer UK will have a team of over 50 runners taking part and raising funds for the charity.
We need 15-20 enthusiastic volunteers to help at this year’s Brighton Marathon. Volunteers will be needed at our supporter points to spot our runners, encourage and cheer them along the course and hand out sweets to give them a boost as they complete the run as well as welcoming back our dedicated runners at the Post Race reception and thanking them for their support, and get to hear about runner’s experiences.
Taking place on Sunday 9th April 2017, we would like volunteers to support us at our cheer point and at post race reception. Times vary for each location cheer points would be approximately between 10:30 - 15:30 and post race reception is between 12.30 - 4.30.
