Event volunteer London, Leeds and Glasgow 17 June - 18 June 2017
People marching for men

As part of the March For Men Walking Programme, Prostate Cancer UK are organising marches over Fathers Day weekend in three locations: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London on 17 June, and also Roundhay Park, Leeds and Pollok Country Park, Glasgow both on the 18 June.

The walks are 2K, 5K and 10K in length and are an ideal opportunity to raise awareness of prostate cancer and show support for Prostate Cancer UK while being part of our walking programme. We need event volunteers to help us make a day to remember for our participants by carrying out such activities as marshaling, registration duties and helping at our memory walls.

Two choices of shift times are available: 7am - 11am and 9am - 4pm.

What will you get from volunteering?

  • You'll be directly supporting our fundraising efforts to help men with prostate cancer across the UK.
  • It'll be a great opportunity to gain experience of running events as well as develop and improve on your communication skills.
  • You'll get to meet lots of other volunteers and supporters.
