From mountain climbing to car rallies, Rotary Clubs love putting on an event for a good cause. What a perfect match for Men United. We can just see that enthusiasm and expertise teaming up to fight against prostate cancer.

Take a look at some of event ideas below. If you’re keen to organise one, or to make us your Charity of the Year, please call Jack Bacon on 020 3310 7231 or email him at jack.bacon@prostatecanceruk.org for more information.

A big thank you from us

We’d like to thank all the clubs that put on events and got members together to support us this year. In 2014 you raised more than £28,000 to help us crack prostate cancer.

Take the 10,000 Challenge

10,000 men die of prostate cancer each year in the UK, and our 10,000 Challenge is done in their memory. Your club can choose the challenge. Whether it’s 10,000 steps (like the Rotary Club of Worthing Steyne), a 10k run (like the Rotary Club of Barnsley Rockle), or collecting 10,000 coins, the important thing is getting together to help fight prostate cancer. We’ll be there to support you with posters, leaflets and good advice.

Make us your Charity of the Year

We’ll send a representative to talk at your club, and again for a cheque presentation at the end of the year. We can also support you with fundraising materials, give you advice, publicise your efforts on our website and send you an information pack.

Take part in one of our events

If you're after ideas, we have loads of events to get your club members involved with. Whether you want to run the marathon, trek up Ben Nevis or take part in a cycle ride – we’ve got it covered. Have a look at all our fundraising events and take your pick.

Invite a speaker to your club

Our speakers and awareness volunteers are a great way to inspire your club members about the work of Men United. They’ll talk about their fundraising efforts and adventures, as well as the challenges faced in the fight against prostate cancer.

Clubs supporting us in 2014

We'd like to thank these clubs for all their support this year:

  • Yeo Vale and Sherborne Castle for organising a classic car show – Classics at the Castle – on Sunday 20 July.
