On Sunday 24 April 2016 over 200 Men United runners will be taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon, showing the world it's #NotJustAVest, it's a chance to do their bit in the fight against prostate cancer.

We will be out in force throughout the day to give them our full support when they need it most. Come and join us at our Men United Supporter Zones and show your support.

Supporter Zones 1 and 3

St George in the East Church, The Highway, London. E1 0BH.

Two of our Supporter Zones will be on the Highway directly opposite each other, so you can see the runners twice from the same spot. This is one of the busiest places on the course to watch the marathon as the runners pass shortly after mile 13 on the south side of the road, and then again on the north side of the road at mile 22. If you love the atmosphere in the crowd and want a full on marathon experience, this is the place to be. Our top tips for these supporter zones are:

  • Arrive early to get the best spot. The elite women and wheelchairs will be passing around 10.30am and the crowds will start to form, typically be 4-5 people deep along the whole street. So if you want to get the best view of seeing our runners go past and cheering them on, arrive early.
  • Be prepared for the long haul. Our runners will be passing by for at least 3-4 hours if you want to see everyone through.
  • Bring a packed lunch. It will be a busy day so come along with some food and drink to keep you fuelled throughout the day.

Supporter Zone 2

Mudchute DLR station, Easy Ferry Road, London. E14.

This one will be located close to Mudchute DLR station, on East Ferry Road opposite Mudchute Park and Farm. This is one of the quieter spots on the route at mile 17 so perfect for those looking to avoid the heavy crowds, especially those with families and young children. Close to this supporter zone is Mudchute Park and Farm which has a cafe, toilets and children’s play area. There is also an Asda Superstore next door to keep you fuelled throughout the day.

Our top tips for this supporter zone are:

  • Arrive by 11.30am and watch the elite athletes pass. If you go to Greenwich Park for the start, it’s only three stops up from Greenwich DRL.
  • Keep an eye on the weather forecast and bring suitable clothing for the great British weather. This include sun cream.
  • If you know one of the Men United runners taking part, you can meet them after they cross the finish line at our After Party at The RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London. WC2N 6EZ.
