We would like to thank....
Thanet Wanderers RUFC - who battled the bad
weather and raised over £3,453.60 from their
charity match day on 23 March. The team customised their
kit with our logo which looked fantastic. They then
danced the night away and had a raffle in the evning to raise
money.
A massive thank you to Martin Gilham who organised the
event as well as to all the sponsors, and supporters who gave their
time and their money.
Macclesfield Rugby Club are once again supporting
us in their 'Boobs vs Balls' rugby match and events evening. The
girls are taking on the guys in a mixed touch rugby tournament
followed by a beer festival. The event raised £878 last year and it
is great to have their support again. Find out more here http://www.boobsvsballs.org.uk/
Stephen Cooper has written a book called 'The
Final Whistle' about 15 players from the same rugby club who
went to fight in the First World War. The book tells the poignant
stories of the men who played together for Rosslyn Park in South
London
This book is currently Rugby Worlds' 'Book of the Month' at the
moment and Stephen has kindly donated £240 from sales from the
first two months of it being available. You can buy it online here:
