The Football League Mascot Race
On Friday October 26th, as part of the Racing Post
weekend at Doncaster Racecourse, we are hosting the annual Football
League Mascot Race.
They cheer your team on. They build you up when your down. They
embody exactly what your club is about.
But how fast can they go?
2012 has been a year of sporting triumphs in the UK. Usain Bolt
and Jonnie Peacock, made their mark at the Olympics and Paralympics
with scintillating sprints. But that was just building to the
biggest sprint of the year.
Last season Notts County's Mr Magpie was triumphant so he (and
his lovely partner Mrs Magpie) returns to defend the title but who
will challenge this year?
Will there be any fallen heroes? Who's got the best
start?
Just who has what it takes to go down in mascot history in
this illustrious year of sport?
Stay tuned for updates on who's involved but why don't you share
your best mascot memories or tell us why you think your mascot
could win?
