Anyone can set up their own unique online sponsorship page
through Virgin Money Giving or Justgiving for an event. You can
either set yourself up as an individual or create a team with
friends or colleagues.
Personalise your page by adding photos and a message so
people know what you are doing. Then e-mail your page to your
friends and colleagues and link it through Facebook and
Twitter.
Your friends, colleagues and relatives can make donations to you
online by debit or credit card. People usually give more when they
pay by card as they don't have to find the cash. And ask your most
generous supporters first, they will set the tone!
Virgin Money Giving and Justgiving
let us know when you have set up a page. The money is transferred
automatically to us so you don't have to chase any cash or cheques.
Gift Aid is also collected automatically. All we ask is that you
let us know when you have finished fundraising so we can thank you
appropriately.
Your friends can now support you using their mobile phone. When
you set up your Just Giving page, you will receive a Text Code
which you can give your friends who will be able to donate by
texting that code.

Set up a sweepstake
Guess2Give is a new, easy and fun way to raise
money for charity online. Whatever your event or occasion set up a
Guess2Give sweepstake to challenge your friends and the winner will
receive a cash prize! People can predict how long it will take you
to complete your run, cycle, trek or even wedding speech.
Once you set up the sweepstake, people make a guess and donate
£3.00, 50p of which goes into the sweepstake pot with the rest
going to charity. Whoever is closest to the final answer wins the
kitty! This is a really useful way of engaging with colleagues and
friends who have yet to donate to your efforts with a little
incentive thrown in.
